', 'Hail. I would first like to thank you for your interest in joining the SHoA. If you would like to become a member Start a thread in this area(not this thread). Include a history..(it does not have to be very detailed..as you can change your history as much as you want ). Ask any questions you may have and Myself or another member will respond. We may ask you some questions...but this is not a test. This is a time for you to get to know us and for us to get to know you.
" Getting to know you phase"
You may be asking yourself "what is this getting to know you phase?" Fernelf wants to make sure you and the members of the SHoA have the appropriate amount of time to make such a important decision. ( Afterall..this will be a group of friends that will be spending time together )
If you are a Frequent poster/player the "getting to know you" phase will be approx two weeks. If you are a casual poster ( casual player at game time ) please include that information on your first interested in joining thread . The SHoA supports casual players and will not deny membership if we are aware of your limited time on the computer. The "getting to know you" phase for casual posters/players will be approx one month. There will be an occasion due to extenuating circumstances that the above mentioned time periods may alter. You will receive a pm if indeed we need more or less time then stated above.
Once accepted. You will be asked to read the code of conduct and post that you agree to it. You will be asked to make a thread with your character name in the Character history section. (on that thread you will either paste your character history or make a more detailed one..the choice will be yours. You will also be asked to post on the FAQ thread that you have read it.

Requirements of Membership:
Frequent Players are required to post on these boards or play the game at least once every two weeks to retain membership.
Casual players need to post on these boards or play the game at least once a month to retain active membership.
You can extend the above times by taking advantage of the absences or out of town thread in the General area. If you post BEFORE a extended absence and give a approx time frame...that time will of course be granted no questions asked.
If a member does not post in the absences area and takes a absence longer then specified above they will be removed from active member status. If upon your return you post a appropriate reason then you membership will be re-instated. ( of course there are going to be surprises in life...so dont let this worry you...dont take contiued advantage of this though.
This is done so all members can have fun and know they will have people to play with once the game comes out.
This is very casual as most kinships expect much more frequent posting or in game time then we do.
We are a very layed back group of people...it is up to you on how much you post and how often you are on the forums....We do not expect people to live here!!!!!!
Same thing for the game..it will be up to you on how often you play.
**** IMPORTANT**
If you are already a member of another kinship you must first notify the SHoA when you make your interested in joining thread. You may be a member of the SHoA as long as you have permissoin from myself and the other kinship. You may not have the same char for both kinships. At any time either Kinship feels that you are giving out information (spying) you will automatically be asked to leave the SHoA. If you are a leader of another Kinship the same applies..lol..you would just have to let me know this in advance. Once I recieve a pm from the other kinship Leader that they are aware and are ok with the arrangement..then you will become a full member of the SHoA. If Myself or another member gets word that a member is a member of another kinship and has not notified me or taken the above steps..that member will be on probation whilst I decide their fate. (this just gives me the chance to view each person seperately instead of lumping each situation together as a whole). If I determine that a member has purposely ommited information , then I will ask the person to leave the SHoA.
** if the other kinship is known as "unethical" then we will not allow members of that kinship to be SHoA members.** Unethical does NOT mean currupted...lol...yes we love currupted kinships as well as we love good kinships.
